Responsibilities:

  • Provide Electrical Engineering infrastructure support to multiple partners across property as an individual contributor or as part of a larger team
  • Plan the development, management of a GIS asset management system using ArcGIS for mapping and asset data inventory along with power system analysis software, such as SKM, for short circuit, circuit breaker coordination, and arc-flash hazard analysis
  • Use the Asset data and analysis to build investment strategies for the maintenance and enhancements to property-wide electrical infrastructure
  • Provide root cause analysis with solution options, risks and recommendations to senior leadership;
  • Provide expertise for Electrical Engineering associated codes and regulations such as EPCOT Building Codes, NEC, NFPA 70, NFPA 101, NFPA 70E, and OSHA
  • Communicate with outside vendors, local regulatory agencies, Disney leaders, and fellow cast members
  • Keep up-to-date on the latest developments in electrical engineering technology, equipment and materials

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8+ years diverse experience in Lighting, Power, HVAC, Fire Alarm Systems, Communication Systems, Lighting Control and HVAC Control
  • Expertise with industry codes and standards associated with new development and re-development
  • Proficient in Autodesk Revit MEP and BIM360
  • Experienced running electrical studies in SKM Power Tools
  • Experienced in performing peer reviews
  • Working knowledge of facility systems such as mechanical and plumbing systems
  • Experience with short circuit analysis, coordination studies, and arc flash analysis
  • Experience with generator systems, transfer switches, emergency power supplies, controls systems and life safety systems
  • Experience with Emergency Power and Normal Power Systems
  • Knowledgeable in Electric Metering, Power Quality Measurements, and Harmonics Analysis
  • Experience with motor controls and basic understanding of PLC systems
  • Experience managing outside vendors and consultants

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD)
  • Active member of related professional and technical societies such as IEEE, IES, or IAEI
  • Familiarity with ArcGIS applications

Required Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in State of Florida, or ability to obtain within 3-months of hire

Preferred Education

  • Master’s degree in an advanced Engineering field
