Job Description:
The person in this role will manage a small team of analysts while reporting directly to the Head of FCM Finance. The successful candidate will be capable of acting as the “CFO†for each line of business, demonstrating deep expertise in each product line. In addition to traditional financial planning and analysis activities (budgeting, forecasting, and planning), the individual will be expected to oversee treatment of revenue and cost activities for each business on the finance profitability platform. As a business partner to several senior leaders, the Senior Finance Director must be capable of working in the details as well as elevating thinking to a more strategic level.
The successful candidate will help Capital Markets continue to grow its business profitably and responsibly and provide thought leadership and creative thinking to the FCM finance organization.

As such, the candidate must be capable of understanding the details as well as be able to provide contextual commentary around the results to help “tell the story
The Expertise You Have
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics combined with a minimum of 12+ years’ work experience in a finance capacity
Experience in financial services industry is highly desired
Strategic thinker who can take an end-to-end view of an issue and develop multiple solutions
Advanced experience with various software applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI) and demonstrated aptitude for building financial models for complex processes
MBA or CFA is a plus, but not mandatory

Flexible, self-motivated individual that will bring energy, enthusiasm, and intellectual curiosity to the role
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven organization with a desire to drive projects to completion

This is an opportunity for a hard-working and collaborative individual to work as part of the FCM Finance Team to provide thought leadership to FCM’s senior management team. This person, along with a small team of analysts, will provide high-quality analysis and thoughtful input to the various business functions and leaders supported, serving as an extension and true partner of the business rather than stand-alone Finance support. This is a unique opportunity for an individual to develop subject matter knowledge across multiple product areas of Capital Markets, and to understand how Capital Markets plays a vital role in supporting other business lines at Fidelity. Responsibilities include:
Develop strong relationships with key members of the FCM management team and provide counsel on all financial related matters
Lead and manage the financial budgeting, planning, reporting, and analysis activities for Equity, Fixed Income, Forex, and the Equity Syndicate businesses
Represent FCM as part of the Finance Modernization team, ensuring Line of Business, Client, & Product P&Ls accurately reflect the economics of our business
Provide support to maturing FCM initiatives, including the launch of Equity’s Digital Best Execution and Fixed Income’s Bond Beacon platforms, including financial support and analysis, pricing strategy, client profitability analysis, and robust Key Performance Indicator (KPI) tracking
Provide guidance to internal Fidelity channel partners who rely on and use many of FCM’s various product and service offerings; more specifically, understand the businesses’ revenue streams and associated expenses, the different business models and customer bases, and the service models FCM deploys to support Fidelity’s customers
