Senior Digital Commerce Manager

The Senior Digital Commerce Manager (Sr DCM), is the primary consultant for Digital commerce clients with activities including training, optimization, best practices & performance management.  They will work cross-functionally across Cox Automotive business units to maximize client performance and drive an increase of transactions of Digital commerce. The Sr. DCM will guide the client through change management and best practices to achieve the most successful outcome with the digital commerce platforms. The key KPIs for the role will be transaction volume, churn, client satisfaction, and utilization with all Cox Automotive software. They understand the retailer’s eCommerce strategy and will help them achieve it, along with setting new goals and executing against them for future success. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Here’s a look at the big asks we have for our next Senior Digital Commerce Manager:

Grow volume of transactions month over month by implementing successful marketing and process strategies.

Be responsible for the utilization of software, client satisfaction, and minimizing churn

Guide clients through change management for their store. These goals include things like new comp plans, new retailing staffing models, talent for staffing, establishing exchange policies, and having a successful online F&I presence.

Responsible for eCommerce client success by coaching them through transformation into an online retailer, including but not limited to standing up a digital sales process and storefront.

Build and maintain relationships within a portfolio of clients and ensure customers’ needs are the driving force behind every priority, decision, and activity.

Monitor and analyze account performance and trends to determine adjustments to dealer expectations, goals, and objectives in order to achieve results.

Build and develop strong working relationships with customers and all users at all levels from corporate sponsors to the teams completing eCommerce deal fulfillment (delivery and pickup)

Retain clients by engaging with performance reviews & strategy sessions through onsite visits and other meetings to make sure software is being optimized & new best practices followed.

Work with ‘at risk’ clients, determine an action plan to turn around, and retain the revenue and relationship.

Be the voice of the customer to product and strategy teams.

Close collaboration with performance managers from other BUs including a close working relationship with marketing experts to drive consumer volume.

Identifies key barriers and core problems with their client’s situations preventing them from meeting business objectives and solving them.

Help clients with their profitability through process/people recommendations.

Demonstrate responsiveness to clients and provide them guidance they need, not always what they ask for.

Ability to help clients with budgeting of product plus appraising cars sight unseen & establishing return/exchange policies.

Closely monitor system ‘red flags’/emergencies with clients and take immediate action.

60% Travel Expected. As a remote team member overnight travel will be expected to client sites and work events. 

Compensation:

Compensation includes a base salary of $98,621 – 116,025. Salary may vary outside of the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's experience.

Position is eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

WHO YOU ARE

Qualifications:

At least 5 years experience in retail automotive management, specifically experience in the capacity of F&I, desking, sales manager (in lieu of that automotive experience, 7 years working directly with dealerships; preferably in an advisory or account management capacity.

Bachelor’s Degree in Business required plus 7 years relevant experience required or a total of 11 years relevant work experience without a degree.

Proficiency in using Salesforce (internally) and knowledge of other automotive CRM’s

Outstanding relationship management capabilities with strong communication and interpersonal skills

Data-driven decision maker with creative problem-solving skills

Ability to effectively work with all levels at the automotive dealership or dealer group

Ability to articulate/communicate in a way that retains audience engagement

Exceptional listening skills and to be able to detect problems/risks without being in a face-to-face situation, ability to ask open-ended questions to provoke thoughtful disruption

Client focus and excellent customer service skills/approach

Highly motivated self-starter capable of working remotely independently as part of a remote based team

Personal qualities and style requirements include possessing high energy, enthusiasm, resilience, determination, proactiveness, relentlessness, and being highly driven.

Desire to work in a highly collaborative atmosphere and be a strong relationship builder with other Cox Automotive BU’s

Preferred Qualifications:

Understanding of dealership profit centers and ways to maximize each one

Knowledge of titling and registration process

Ability to influence C-Suite executives on strategic and financial commitments

Ability and eagerness to learn complex technology and basic understanding of web-based systems

Willingness to mentor new and junior Digital Commerce Managers

Technically savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office suite and other technology solutions

Able to hold a compelling virtual meeting that drives positive outcomes for client and company

Strong public speaker and presentation skills
