Fidelity Center for Applied Technology (FCAT) has the mission to catalyze innovation for Fidelity and our clients and supports the entire Fidelity businesses. Within FCAT there is a group leading the efforts on how Blockchain technology could both disrupt our current businesses and provide new opportunities for new products and services. We currently have a multi-disciplinary team of software engineers, researchers, designers, product managers, security and compliance experts tackling a number of opportunities.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related program required.

  • 6+ years admin experience, preferably in a DB Admin and DB DevOps.

  • In depth hands-on experience of the concepts, architecture and administration of MariaDB distributed database Xpand/ClustrixDB.

  • Experience with NoSQL database such as MongoDB and REDIS in-memory databases a plus.

  • Experience in installing and configuring databases along with security, performance tuning, backup, replication and monitoring.

  • Familiarity and awareness of implementing and supporting databases in an AWS Cloud Infrastructure environment.

  • Financial Services experience and ability to understand the product and business value of the Application DBA technical lead role.

  • Experience with DB patching and backup strategies.

  • Experience with Database automation tools like Redgate, Flyway etc.

  • Experience with ALM tools like Stash, Jenkins, Artifactory, CI/CD would be a plus.

  • Experience with public cloud providers like AWS, Azure would be great.

  • Expert technical DBA who can analyze and implement database technology infrastructure solutions with minimal direction required and demonstrate the technical capability to tackle and resolve technical issues quickly.

  • Ability to collaborate well with your team members and influence your technology peers.

  • Demonstrate the ability to learn new technologies and communicate the business value of a new technology solution.

  • Evaluate, design and implement project database design solutions.
