As a Senior Data Scientist – Product and process modelling, your responsibilities will include:
- Apply Data Science/Machine Learning approaches to establish relationships between material properties, manufacturing processes and product performance. Identify new product development or process improvement opportunities based on the insights.
- Connect food application performance requirements to molecular targets and optimal process conditions to accelerate product development of functional ingredients
- Utilize comprehensive product libraries to develop structural and functional maps that will aid in rapid selection of ingredients, raw materials, and/or food systems for targeted food applications
- Collaborate with appropriate internal functions and build process simulation models (Digital Twins) for selected manufacturing processes
- Ideate and analyze large amounts of complex raw and processed information to identify opportunities to advance Digital Transformation Strategy within the Innovation Group
- Develop and lead complex projects that involve advanced analytics and simulations
- Create client-ready materials and solutions for stakeholders of varying technical experience or familiarity with methods
- Maintain a continuous education of cutting-edge statistical techniques and programming languages

Qualified candidates will have:
- A degree in Statistics, Chemical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science or other technical discipline and 5+ years industrial experience. PhD or Masters degree is a plus.
- Experience with statistical programming languages (e.g. R, Python, SAS etc.) and proven ability to work pragmatically with statistical concepts and deliver end-to-end solutions
- Track record of applying AI approaches in process and product design
- Experience with Agile Scrum methodology
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects independently and lead multifunctional teams.
- Critical analytical thinking, problem-solving capabilities, and proven records of creative ideation
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral. Demonstrated ability to write comprehensive technical reports and deliver technical presentations
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Ability to interact constructively with colleagues from a wide variety of roles within the company
