We’re looking for a Senior Data Manager to join the team. You will be working as part of the Enterprise Data Team (responsible for enterprise data management, data governance and master data management across the Trust) and will be responsible for the management of one Data Manager. Your primary responsibility will be managing the replacement of the Trust’s existing data warehouse with a new, SNOWFLAKE-based data warehouse.
This is a fixed term contract due to end when the previous employee returns from maternity leave. At this point we cannot confirm exactly how long this contract will last, but it is unlikely to be more than 12 months.
We’re bigger than you think, we’re more complicated than we appear and we’re larger scale than you’d imagine. We’ve got passionate people in all our teams, and we’ve got so much more we want to achieve. We’re for ever, for everyone and we really mean that. We don’t want to stop at 5.5 million members, and we want everyone to feel welcome and enjoy access to our places, so we need to reach new audiences in ways that are meaningful and relevant to them without losing the hearts and minds of those that are already with us.Your contractual location will be Heelis, however there will be an opportunity to explore and agree remote working arrangements which strike the right balance for you and the Trust.
The National Trust's data warehouse (TDW) is being replaced by an Enterprise Data Platform (EDP), based upon SNOWFLAKE data warehouse software. The project is due to go live later this year. As product owner, you will be responsible to the business for ensuring that the business needs for the EDP are met. You will work closely with the project sponsor, the IT department, and other stakeholders to ensure that implementation of the EDP runs smoothly.
This role is that of Product Owner for the National Trust Data Warehouse (being phased out) and the Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) project. You’ll be an expert in data management and have proven experience of improving data quality in large, matrixed organisations. We’re a business team, not IT. So, you’ll have experience of partnering with IT data engineering teams to deliver the data needs of your stakeholders. You will have experience of having managed data for business intelligence and customer journey management needs and be confident liaising with stakeholders in these areas.
As such, the following skills and experience are required:
The National Trust has the motto ‘For everyone, for ever’ at its heart. We’re working hard to create an inclusive culture, where everyone feels they belong. It’s important that our people reflect and represent the diversity of the communities and audiences we serve. We welcome and value difference, so when we say we’re for everyone, we want everyone to be welcome in our teams too.
Wherever you’re from, and whatever your background, we want to hear from you – and it doesn’t matter if you’re jam first, cream first, or even if you don’t like scones at all. Everyone is welcome.
