The Role

The Workplace Investing Data Engineering and Exchange AI Delivery Chapter team is looking for a Sr Data Engineer to join our crew to help deliver customer facing AI models into production. This role is a multifaceted Agile engineering position where you will partner with your teammates on our development team and peer data scientists to: conduct data analysis to understand model data needs, help build ETL pipelines in AWS to both feed feature data into models and help measure model results once the models are live and establishing AI compute infrastructure and data pipelines and deploy AI/ Machine learning models via RESTful API. The Expertise and Skills You Bring

Proven track record of working in teams to deliver high quality data solutions in a multi-developer agile environment following coding best practices and modern CI/CD pipelines.

Superior SQL skills and experience developing data transformation pipelines multiple database platforms

At least 5 years of working within a sophisticated Java and/or Python microservices infrastructure as either a consumer or API developer

At least 3 years of hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure (S3, CFTs, EC2), security and data and AI pipeline technologies (RDS/Postgres, Snowflake, Airflow) and/or practical experience with AI/ML models or their delivery in an AWS framework (e.g. Sagemaker)

At least 2 years of proven data movement development experience ideally in the cloud using tools like Apache Airflow and Snowflake database

Experience interacting with financial services and or digital channel data (Web clicks, Phone logs, email campaigns) a plus.

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

You are self-driven, highly motivated and a quick learner.

You should have an analytical mindset- being proactive in asking engaging questions to help tease out requirements details and technical implementation options often from more senior team members and customers.

Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

Ability to identify and convey significant stakeholder insights through storytelling.

You love working with data and are confident in your SQL and data movement skills.

You are passionate about data and technology and have experience with or an interest in AI/ML and/or the consumer experience, digital personalization, and marketing.

The Team

Work with data scientists and business sponsors to understand the business use cases that need to be solved and then conduct data analysis to find the right data sources for the project and conduct data analysis to profile needed tables

Develop ETL workflows in AWS/Snowflake using Python to structure data for AI model training and development and to measure already deployed models.

Develop data web service APIs in Java or Python to feed into productionalized models.
