Overview

We seek someone with a strong background in transportation and extensive analytical skills to join our Logistics team in Lebanon, TN or Ontario, California.

Responsibilities

We seek people who:

• Build, maintain, and enhance freight activity reporting to render complex carrier performance and cost data into clear visual representations used to drive financial and service-related decisions
• Identify, analyze, and recommend solutions to improve shipment patterns that do not meet service and cost expectations
• Recommend changes to the current routing logic/system settings based on advanced cost, service, and transit analyses
• Calculate and analyze monthly results and provide relevant and critical analysis of anomalies and variances.  Initiate appropriate follow up
• Develop and maintain financial and volumetric models to support and influence carrier selection, contract negotiations, budgeting and forecast activities
• Lead cross functional Transportation related projects and present to various levels of leadership within Caleres

Qualifications

We seek people with these qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineer, or related area
• 4+ years progressive supply chain, transportation, or logistics analytics experience preferred
• Ability to demonstrate proficiency in logistics analysis (KPI, Metric Reporting) and spreadsheet modeling
• Basic knowledge of international transportation and DOT regulations required, working knowledge preferred
• Intermediate skills using Analytics software such as Tableau, Qlik, MS-Power BI, SQL and Microsoft Excel, MS Word, SAP and MS Access required
• Transportation Management systems (AS400 query capabilities, PKMS – warehouse management system, OTM) preferred
