Job Description

Project Summary:

This is a multi-year large EPC project to design & build multiple facilities for the US Air Force to enhance their test capability. The project is considered ‘greenfield’ and includes the design of a new test facilities that will require designs for supporting utility systems such as high-pressure air (HPA), cooling water, electrical power (high, medium (4kv) and low voltage), switchgear, substation, ductwork,  piping and vacuum/exhauster capacity tied into major test facility infrastructure already in place.  In addition, the facility may include a scrubber system for emissions mitigation, heat exchangers (plate and tube type). The supporting utilities will be designed to maintain independence to the existing plant infrastructure and services.  The main test facilities will have high-speed data acquisition systems. Major equipment will include large vacuum compressors, high-pressure air compressors and large high-pressure cooling pumps with associated control valves.   The project potentially includes major building and foundation (civil works) design and construction. Project kick-off is underway with execution planned through 2026.

An exciting career opportunity exists for an Instrumentation, Data and Controls (ID&C) Engineer responsible for providing design engineering, development, implementation and upgrade services associated with deploying automated control systems in new aerospace test facilities.
