Position Summary 

As a Senior Contracts Administrator within the client’s integrated team you will support the commercial and contractual management of a portfolio of telecoms projects typically covering three to five towns and cities which will include new build, city enhancement projects and field service frameworks. You will be ensuring that operations and service delivery are fully protected under the contract terms and comply with the relevant statutory requirements. The Senior Contracts Administrator provides supervision, guidance, and direction to the Quantity Surveyors under their purview and takes direction from the Regional Commercial Manager. There are roles within cities predominantly in North West and South East England. 

 

Typical Responsibilities 

  • Managing the commercial resources of your assigned projects (primarily within an NEC Option B - remeasurable environment). 
  • Supporting the authorisation and submission of project variations. 
  • Assessing, reviewing and mitigating commercial and contractual risks. 
  • Providing commercial and contractual expertise to the delivery teams, including producing and submitting valuation certification, drafting and issuing correspondence, claims, budget monitoring and producing contract/workstream performance data. 
  • Providing robust, timely and accurate cost and value data at both project and regional level. 
  • Coaching, developing and mentoring junior members of the team. 
  • Implementing and enforcing policies, procedures and related work rules as established by contracts management function. 
  • Build productive and collaborative internal/external working relationships. 

 

Desirable Skills and Qualifications 

  • Solid experience in commercial/contracts management and leading teams in relevant field. 
  • Working knowledge of NEC forms of contract preferred or similar engineering and construction form of contract. 
  • Relevant university degree (or in lieu of degree additional demonstrated experience) and 8+ years of relevant experience. 
  • Full clean UK Driving Licence. 
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to influence internal/external stakeholders. 
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work with various stakeholders. 
  • Knowledge of law, negotiations, or contract management gained through education or experience. 
  • Skill in working and communicating effectively, both orally and in writing, with executive-level stakeholders and other project functional groups. 
  • Working knowledge of engineering/construction industry contracting practices, applicable government and commercial regulations and practices.
