In the Cloud, HPC systems become elastic infrastructures which dynamically reconfigure according to the current workload. Our mission is to empower Researchers and Engineers by transforming legacy on-premises HPC systems into self-service compute environments that scale on-demand to accelerate productivity and reduce time to results.

The ideal candidate has thrived and succeeded in delivering HPC solutions for Engineering/Research domains like Life Sciences, Manufacturing (CAE, EDA), Energy & Geosciences or Financial Services - contributing to Infrastructure, Applications or Workflows design and implementation.

Key job responsibilities
You will help Customers in design and build HPC systems on AWS leveraging the best practices to run HPC applications on highly elastic and dynamically provisioned HPC infrastructures. You will also help optimize performance and costs of Customer’s HPC workflows. You'll focus on operational excellence by implementing and integrating DevOps key methodologies, such as infrastructure as code and configuration management, and tools into HPC solutions.

About the team

You will be part of the HPC Global Specialty Practice (GSP) of AWS Professional Services working with Customers worldwide on HPC solutions including designing architectures with compute, storage, remote visualization and orchestration capabilities. The HPC Team is member of a bigger family including other GSPs like ML/DL, Analytics and Quantum.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· BS or higher degree in Computer Science, or related degree.
. Experience with HPC/Technical Computing software applications for Enterprises or Research centers.
. Experience with one or more HPC job scheduler: Slurm, PBS, Torque, Grid Engine, LSF, HTCondor, Symphony, GRID Server, Windows HPC Pack
· 3+ years of professional experience with programming using scripting (bash, Python, PowerShell, Typescript, etc.) and/or any modern programming language (C++, C#, Java, Golang, Lua, Rust, etc.).
· 3+ years of professional experience in Consulting roles.
. 3+ years of professional experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current HPC systems.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

. AWS Certifications like AWS Solution Architect Associate/Professional.
. Familiarity with AWS services such as EC2, Batch, CloudFormation, CDK, FSx, and ParallelCluster.
. Experience developing automation to solve problems at scale.
. Strong communication skills.
