Job Description

Become Senior Communications Consultant for Sparks, an award-winning creative communications consultancy, specialising in employee and financial communications in the workplace.

The primary purpose of the role is to manage a portfolio of clients, delivering high quality work and to target. You will maximise account growth, control revenue, forecasts and collection of payment. You will be client focussed and champion and police best practice with regards to client development and new business processes. You will build strong relationships internally with Capita Pensions departments, in particular Pensions Administration, other Practices and Tech to deliver excellent standards

Location - Flexible with some travel to London or Sheffield for meetings

What you’ll be doing:

  • Responsible for developing and taking to market Sparks propositions and products
  • Work with Sparks consultants and key stakeholders within Capita to identify new products and services to meet the needs of clients
  • Maintain a high level of understanding of the pensions industry and market we are competing in to ensure Sparks are delivering market-leading innovation
  • Take ownership of the full development of propositions from the initial conception through to marketing to clients and internal contacts
  • Responsible for the pricing and generation of relevant sales collateral
  • Development of existing clients through relationship management and offering new solutions to solve their problems
  • Acquire new clients through building relationships with key pensions stakeholders and subsequently selling opportunities to new clients
  • Contribute to the direction of the Sparks business and demonstrate strategic influence with the business and with clients
  • Establish and maintain strong networks and relationships within Capita and with key client contacts
  • Represent Sparks as a spokesperson and networker at industry events
  • Control revenue, be responsible for accurate forecasting and collection of payment

What we’re looking for:

  • A higher qualification (HND or Degree)
  • Relevant experience working in Pensions communications
  • Experience in working in strategic communications agency or on client side. Ability to develop and execute client strategy
  • Sales and pitching, including RFP process, developing sales presentations and presenting
  • Successful track record in building relationships with key stakeholders
  • Exacting attention to detail, commitment to accuracy and quality
  • A willingness to receive direction and respond positively to constructive feedback
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic - ability to work to tight deadlines, with minor or no supervision
  • The ability and experience to handle multiple tasks under pressure
