Do you combine customer focus with experience in process improvement for financial operations? Join FI’s BPI Solutions and Automation Center of Excellence (COE) where you will partner with service, operations, technology, product, and clients to transform FI operations. Our COE supports a broad range of initiatives including process design, process automation, and digitization of service. We seek individuals with a natural inclination to understand how things work and how they can be improved. The ideal candidate is a self-directed individual who can partner across the enterprise to drive substantial change.

The Expertise We’re Looking For

  • University Degree, preferably with a concentration in Engineering, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • 3 + years of experience in financial services operations
  • 3 + years process improvement experience required (Six Sigma Green or Blackbelt preferred)
  • Project management experience preferred

The Purpose of Your Role

Our team collaborates across the FI organization to help our many partners deliver the people, process, and technology vital to meet and exceed customer expectations. As a member of the COE, you will have the opportunity to work with key business partners to analyze and streamline processes for maximum efficiency and effectiveness. By utilizing process improvement/lean and business process reengineering methodologies, you will assist in building on Fidelity's long-standing focus of Kaizen or Continuous Process Improvement. Our goal is to achieve business operating targets in effectiveness & efficiency while maintaining a focus on providing world-class customer experience in the financial services industry.

The Skills You Bring

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills that allow you to overcome obstacles and influence stakeholders to act on recommendations
  • Strong technical knowledge and abilities in process design
  • Skilled in documentation including customer journeys and process mapping
  • Experience using process improvement methodologies including DMAIC and Design Thinking
  • Familiarity with process automation tools as well as the ability to identify task automation opportunities
  • High level of analytical ability, communication and interpersonal skills required to establish relationships with team members and customers to solve problems and resolve issues.
  • Ability to multitask by handling diverse assignments concurrently
  • Consistent record of driving efficiency and productivity while measuring the impact of change
  • Working knowledge of databases, report generation and statistical data analysis
  • Experience leading mid-size, cross functional projects. Project management certification, completion of significant coursework, or equivalent OTJ experience.
  • Working knowledge of Fidelity Investments operational processes and systems (XTRAC, FBSI, FDOT)
