Amazon is seeking an outstanding Live Sports Analytics Manager - Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to uncover key insights on how customers engage with live sports events on Prime Video across Europe and internationally. With prestigious sporting events on Prime Video including the English Premiere League (UK), UEFA Champions League (Italy, Germany), Ligue 1 (France), US Open Tennis (UK), Roland Garros (France), Autumn Nations Cup Rugby (UK) and more, live sports are an integral and growing component of Prime Video. As our selection of events expands, the Prime Video Content Analytics team are looking for a single-threaded owner of analytics to focus on live sports.

Key responsibilities
You will have the following responsibilities within the scope of our International Prime Video business:
· Support the analytical needs of stakeholders in the sports, advertising, finance and live events teams, including analytical insight, automated report building and metric design
· Build profitability models for new sports rights and partner with finance on business cases
· Design and build dashboards to allow self-service across live sports viewing
· Ownership of all performance metrics required by third party rights owners and advertisers
· Partner with technology teams to ensure availability of required data sources
· Ensure that the quality and timeliness of analytic deliverables meet business expectations
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field
· Demonstrated strength in SQL, data modelling, ETL development, and data warehousing (to be tested at interview)
· 5+ years of experience in analytics or data engineering within a technology environment
· Advanced skills in Excel and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Quicksight
· Experience using statistical or scripting languages for data analysis (Python, SAS, R, or similar)
· Advanced ability to draw insights from data and clearly communicate them to the stakeholders and senior management as required
· Be self-driven, and show ability to deliver on ambiguous projects with incomplete data
· Knowledge of data management and modelling fundamentals and data storage principles
· Proven ability to balance competing priorities, workloads, and tight timelines in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
· Master’s degree in Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field
· Strong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
· Expert in writing and tuning SQL scripts
· Experience working in very large data warehouse environments
· Familiarity with AWS solutions such as Redshift, S3, EC2, Quicksight
· Experience working in the media or live sports industries
