As a Cloud Economics Sr. Business Development Manager within AWS, you will support senior stakeholders within our customer organizations to develop an understanding of the economic value of AWS adoption. You will seek to develop a well-rounded view of a customer organization, its business priorities, its competitors, and the markets in which it operates to build compelling cloud business cases.

You will identify economic barriers to adoption of AWS with these customers and develop repeatable solutions to overcome these barriers. You will be at ease explaining the economic value proposition for AWS to a broad audience of stakeholders across the customer organization. You will be viewed as a problem solver for our customers’ biggest commercial challenges in relation to cloud opportunity.

Your responsibilities will include driving economic-related BD activities within AWS, supporting the AWS Sales, Marketing, BD and products teams in customer engagements. You will serve as an expert resource for the identification of cloud adoption opportunity and economic reality for our customers.

The ideal candidate will possess a consulting, strategy, business and/or finance background that enables them to drive an engagement and interact at the highest levels of the enterprise. They will have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and long-term about the needs of complex global businesses. The preferred candidate will be comfortable collaborating with key stakeholders in a consultative manner to enable decision-making through research and detailed financial analysis.

Responsibilities:
· Serve as a key member of the AWS Business Development team to directly support customers and articulate the economic value of cloud to their organizations
· Collaborate with AWS Sales, Business Development, and Marketing teams to drive proactive economic conversations with our customers
· Serve as a key source of market insights into how our customers view the economic benefit of AWS
· Prepare and present internal business reviews to senior management teams regarding progress and roadblocks on economic-related issues facing our customers

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS


· Experience in management consulting, in-house strategy team, equities analyst (TMT sector), or complex financial modelling & economic business case experience
· Prior experience working with senior leadership/C-level executives
· Experience creating and presenting complex business cases to non-technical decision makers
· Experience with proforma income statement and balance sheet modelling, and experience modelling impacts to financial KPIs such as EBITDA
· Must have a demonstrated ability to work proactively across internal and external organizations, including sales, marketing, business development, and professional services

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· MBA or equivalent relevant business experience
· Understanding of AWS services and how they solve customer challenges today
· Ability to communicate your ideas with poise to stakeholders through effective written and oral communication
