Our business is changing how we use and approach data, becoming much more data driven. Our Business Analyst is an integral part of our Business Intelligence Team, working closely with key business stakeholders to define business process and aligning how data can support them. Using Agile principles, methods, and tools, you will design and lead workshops, focusing on value delivery and in support of our business direction. You will work closely with the business to define user stories and business questions and turn these into relatable tasks for our technical delivery teams. You will have excellent analytical skills, be a great communicator and building trusted relationships will be at the core of everything you do.
- Bring visibility and rationale to business improvement opportunities and demonstrating measurable benefits upon which decisions can be made through documentation of as-is processes, to-be designs and gap analysis.
- Undertake the work necessary to elicit, challenge and document business and system requirements and evaluate supporting information systems
- Define, Measure and Analyse opportunities to feed into business cases taking account of business-as-usual costs as well as costs of implementation of any Improvements, ensuring benefit realisation monitoring and Control is built into proposals (DMAIC)
- Facilitate workshops across stakeholder groups to capture and challenge business requirements and / or gain buy-in to changes
- Prepare programme and project reporting and documentation as appropriate
- Actively contribute to the continuing improvement of the methods and techniques used in business process improvement and helping to coach, train and develop more junior business analysts in the use of these methods and techniques
- Conduct fit-gap analysis to ensure a strong system fit against requirements
About you
- Experience of conducting feasibility studies, impact assessments, fit gap analyses in relation to technological and process change
- Experience and confidence in scoping/sizing projects with proficiency in writing business cases
- Experience of documenting process analysis work (as-is/to-be/L1,2,3,4,5, standard operating procedures)
- A passion for business process, excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail
- Experience of developing and implementing BPM methods/standards, such as the creation or development of templates (business cases, requirements etc)
- Track record of forming and strengthening trusted relationships with business stakeholders
- Familiarity with process taxonomy and the use/benefits of a process catalogue
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills and the ability to present ideas and opportunities (including using known presentational tools)
- Digital literacy and be proficient in standard office tools used in BPM e.g. Excel, Word, Visio
The successful candidate may be able to demonstrate:
- Experience utilising LEAN/LEAN Six Sigma methodologies is desirable, but not essential
- Experience of working in or knowledge of food-to-go or similar retail business environment
