About the Role
You will be part of a team responsible for establishing a process to implement full assortment price trading. This role will work closely with the ASOS AI team, setting up and helping to support analysis of Price Elasticity Modelling. You will also be responsible for supporting in the understanding and analysis of the ROI of various reprice logics, proposing strategies to optimise pricing investments across our FC Hub zones. This includes proposing, adjusting and reporting on our pricing performance, looking at internal and external competitive price proposition data at territory level, and supporting a customer obsessed approach to drive competitive advantage. You will work closely with the Retail and Territory managers and wider Pricing Team interpreting and coordinating analysis from price tests and pricing initiatives to support the Pricing Merchandiser / Head of Pricing and Promotion.
What you’ll be doing…
Working with the Senior Pricing Assistant Merchandiser in the Commercial Pricing Team, to review and re-establish the business process for establishing and trading Branded Product pricing across our Global Markets
Assisting the Senior Pricing Merchandiser to establish the Price Scraping process across the Branded Portfolio, making suggestions for price trading actions in market.
Working with the third-party Scraping Tool and Team, building working relationships
Supporting and working with the AI team in the understanding of the Data problems that we are trying to solve through price investment
Start to build knowledge and understanding of how Price Investment through reprice delivers return on investment
Help the Pricing Assistant in the management of price change execution process end to end working with the data teams to establish process automation
Support the Pricing Merchandiser in the communication of analysis and recommendations from initiatives to wider Pricing team and key internal stakeholders
Develop commercial understanding of ASOS’ Price Investment Pot across diverse international territories and contribute to defining the territory pricing strategy at product type level
Start to build knowledge and understanding of pricing levers that impact territory and product type elasticity and use this to propose recommendations for dynamic pricing strategies
Help support the creation and on-going distribution of consolidated weekly and monthly reporting for price trading initiatives across key customer and business metrics to be shared with wider business
Be a member of a wider pricing team supporting the development of a Price Administrative Assistant
We’d love to meet someone who…
Previous experience of working in either a Pricing or Merchandising role, at a minimum of an Assistant Merchandiser Level
Experience of proposing and modelling price strategies, POS & Clearance, alongside evaluating the success of a number of pricing initiatives on various business KPIs
You are energetic and like working at fast pace, whilst having a passion for interpreting data to solve problems
High organisation skills, able to use initiative and to work in pressurised environment
Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, effectively and appropriately with colleagues, across all levels within the business
Keen attention to detail
Computer literate and able to use both Excel and Powerpoint applications to an intermediate/advanced level
High numerical competency
Flexible, self-motivated and enthusiastic and a team player
