Job Summary:

The RM&A organization is part of the Commercial team that supports clients across Disney Parks, Experiences & Consumer Products including Ticketing, Resorts, Merchandise and Food & Beverage, and all other lines of business in the core competencies of yield management, revenue planning and forecasting, pricing, promotions, and optimization using mathematical and statistical techniques.

Candidates will have strong communication, partnering, and analytical skills, including advanced excel modeling, Tableau, and SQL experience. The candidate will have a natural curiosity to understand the “why” behind business performance, take a proactive role in problem-solving, be results oriented, be able to prioritize, and be a team player in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

• Predictive Analytics – Leverage mathematical and statistical techniques along with historical data to drive insights to determine continuous improvement opportunities and develop predictive demand and revenue models

• Data Visualization – Leverage data visualization techniques, tools, and communication skills to present complex analytical findings in clear business terms that facilitate acceptance, decision-making, and execution by business partners and senior executives

• Business Optimization – Evaluate key business drivers to measure the success of commercial decisions, and develop science-based approaches to inform and drive long-term strategic direction

• Partner Collaboration – Develop and maintain relationships with Marketing, Consumer Insights (CIMA), Legal, and Sales to communicate performance, drive new initiatives, and identify impacts of strategic opportunities

Basic Qualifications:

• Two plus years of work experience in statistical, business analytics, data science, and/or strategy development

• Proficiency in acquiring, organizing, cleansing, and manipulating large amounts of data, advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (including VBA) and demonstrated mastery in one or more technical themes (R, SQL, Tableau, python, etc)

• Demonstrated ability for storytelling through data, e.g. large scale data integration and data visualization to facilitate acceptance and execution among leaders

• Demonstrated experience using statistical modeling, optimization, or data science techniques to inform and driven business decisions and to inform new methodologies to steer strategy

• Demonstrated analytical problem-solving, creative thinking, and partnering skills

• Has a strategic mindset, e.g. seeks out opportunities for course-correction and has the ability to influence organizational decisions on broader ideas and objectives

• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple priorities, and perform job responsibilities accurately with minimal supervision

• Demonstrated exceptional sense of responsibility, ownership, and pride in delivering quality results and understanding the business impact

Preferred Qualifications:

• Five plus years of work experience in statistical, business analytics, data science, and/or strategy development

• Prior experience with pricing, revenue management, and/or forecasting

• Understanding of revenue management concepts (e.g., dilution, displacement)

Required Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Econometrics, or other quantitative fields

Preferred Education

• Master’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Econometrics, or other quantitative fields
