Overview
The Senior SAP Administrator is responsible for the end-to-end management and support of the Infrastructure equipment / software across the enterprise by ensuring the environment(s) are patched, right sized and available for the business. The Administrator is also responsible for proactive monitoring of system capacity, utilization, and performance to avoid negative business impacts.
Specialized Skills and Technologies
- Strong experience and knowledge of SAP security and other ERP systems
- Capability to understand SGWS’s application portfolio as well as how the different systems contribute to daily business operations
- Maintain and administer SAP Security in SAP ECC (HCM, FI, SD, MM, Vistex, etc.), BW, Business Objects, SAP CRM, PI/XI, SAP Solution Manager, and SAP Portal Solutions
- Proactively seek opportunities to improve the Security roles and as well as resolve complex support issues
- Ensure that audit requirements are met and security policies are followed by the organization.
- Keep up-to-date with SAP Security technologies and related tools including Security Weaver security software.
- Broad understanding of SAP ECC, BW, Business Objects, PI/XI, Solution Manager, and Portal functionality
Primary Responsibilities
- Participate in on call rotation
- Provide accurate and timely updates to work tickets, incidents, and outages
- Research, evaluate and recommend applications
- Monitors usage of shared resources, and works with appropriate engineers to resolve issues related to malfunctions
- Develops, integrates, and implements applications
- Diagnose, monitors, troubleshoots, and maintains the required tools and software and uses monitoring tools
- Basic understanding of some key systems and how they interact to provide a complete service to the customers that meet business requirements
- Track and identification of supported hardware and software
Additional Primary Responsibilities
- Provide support for enterprise backup solutions, disaster recovery and high availability
- Monitor backup job success / failure with a goal to minimize failures
- Maintain and administer related computing environments
- Monitor the performance of systems
- Coordinate and implement server and systems security measures to protect data, software, and hardware
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or Technical degree in related field or equivalent experience
- 1 or more years of mastery level experience in Infrastructure administration as it relates to the hardware and software components that align to technologies supported at Southern Glazers
- Ability to diagnose when a system or environment has a problem, issue or fault and resolve
- Ability to create, read, analyze and interpret technical diagrams and written procedures
- Strong team player who can work across multiple functions and lead peers in solving for complex issues
- Familiarity with ITIL Foundation concepts
- Good verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to travel less than 25%

- May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbs
