Job Summary:

Senior Payroll Analyst will provide support for DWSS Payroll Operations team that supports domestic, Canadian and DCL payroll. They will Analyze and resolve issues in a timely manner. Collaborate with Payroll Team Members to identify and develop recommendations for process improvements for payroll processes. Lead Payroll Projects and provide testing support and coordinate testing for enhancements in the payroll systems.

DWSS Payroll Operations

  • Transition new business to DWSS Payroll as needed.
  • Project Management for Process Improvement activities.
  • Customer Service with employees and business guides.
  • Support the payroll operations team staff and assignments.
  • Indirect leadership to payroll operations team.

Responsibilities:

Qualified and experienced candidates for this role will have:

  • Project managing new business transitioning into DWSS Payroll.
  • Identifying, designing and implementing Process Improvements for the Payroll organization and develop projections regarding labor savings and/or accuracy improvement.
  • Developing process flows and operational procedures as support tools for process improvements.
  • Analyzing and resolving issues related to payroll, time entry and union rules and regulations.
  • Executing standard reports that provide insight as to the performance of the organization, as well as conduct ad-hoc reporting as necessary.
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders to develop and approve critical system support processes based on best practices, local company policy, and legal requirements.
  • Recognizing data trends and making recommendations where appropriate to improve service performance.
  • Maintaining project plans used to ensure timely delivery of process improvements.
  • Identifying efficiencies in processes and creating automated solutions to streamline work.
  • Developing RFS proposals and participating in user testing to ensure enhancements achieve the desired process improvement results.
  • Professionalism working in a fast past environment managing multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively and influence all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple priorities, and perform job responsibilities accurately with minimal supervision.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 0-2 years accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of general accounting, internal controls and close process.
  • Ability to prepare and present information to support decision making.
  • Strong analytical and writing skills and the ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written).
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.
  • Core fundamental knowledge required to assess reasonableness of business partners variance explanations.
  • Strong working knowledge of PC-based software applications, including Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to plan and prioritize work and handle multiple priorities.
  • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
  • Identifies process improvement opportunities and provides solutions.
  • Ability to be flexible with work schedule.
  • Ability to perform well in a fast paced environment.

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

Preferred Education

  • Master of Accountancy or MBA.
