We seek an experienced, collaborative and highly motivated Senior Accountant with a passion for continual process improvement to join our Allen Edmonds Retail team.

We seek people who:
Assures month-end closing process of recording journal entries, identifying and explaining variances to budget and forecast, and verifying balance sheet and income statement are properly stated is performed efficiently, accurately, and on-time.
Ensure balance sheet and income statement account balances are accurately stated in accordance with GAAP and company policies and procedures.
Maintain general ledger and provide related reporting and analysis at the close of each fiscal period.
Reconciles balance sheet accounts within established policies and timelines.
Identifies and explains variances to forecast and budget.

We seek people with these qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
1-3 years general accounting experience
Retail and/or wholesale experience preferred
Detail-oriented with ability to handle multiple projects and changing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Independent thinker, capable of challenging the status quo and initiating process improvement
SAP software experience preferred
Intermediate proficiency in Excel
