Job Description
The successful candidate will act as a security manager for one of Control Risks’ Clients. The security manager will provide the Client with advice on the security context and measures implemented at their working locations and provide training to their employees on security awareness and crisis management.
- Review and implement the prevailing security documentation (plans and protocols) developed by the corporate security department
- Adapt corporate security guidelines to the needs of each of the Client’s main locations in Mexico
- Review and implement the existing corporate crisis management plan
- Review and implement the travel management plan for local and foreign personnel traveling throughout Mexico
- Coordinate and organize the security infrastructure for the Client’s visitors to locations where it operates, including transport selection, arrival briefings and ongoing visit supervision
- Develop a security training plan for local and foreign personnel
- Deliver security trainings to the Client’s personnel and visitors as required
- Deliver intelligence and security updates to the Client’s staff management in addition to briefing its corporate security department (where required)
- Supervise the security personnel hired by the Client to ensure compliance with all protocols while maintaining high standards and professional conduct at the Client’s sites; conduct ongoing training to ensure that both new hires and experienced personnel understand security best practice and uphold it in the conduct of their daily duties
- Act as immediate coordinator in the event of any high-impact security-related incidents such as kidnaps and missing persons incidents, among others, where appropriate and as designated by the in-country and corporate management
- Report to and liaise with the management for additional security-related tasks as required
Requirements
Essential
- Please DO NOT apply if your experience is in health and safety (no applicant will be considered)
- 5+ years of experience in corporate security industry
- Experience delivering training on security prevention and crisis management
- Experience with access control and other security systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Knowledge regarding intelligence gathering and analysis
- Working experience in guard force management and subcontractor supervision
- Intermediate use of English
- Advanced use of Microsoft office tools
Preferred
- Experience delivering security advise at isolated locations (mines, drill sites, construction sites, etc.)
- PSP, CCP, CISSP, or other comparable certifications
