What You’ll Be Doing (Job Description):

• Acting in the capacity as a security engineering senior advisor for the Global Perimeter Security team supporting various security technologies pertaining to public facing application protection, secure cloud access (SaaS), secure email, and secure internet access.
• As a senior team member, you’ll be providing escalation assistance, guidance, and mentoring to your team and peer organizations.
• Be a stakeholder and advisor in identifying, building, implementing, and maintaining key cross-functional security technologies to improve security posture, deliver a great experience to constituents, and maintain compliance for Cigna.
• Evaluate and articulate risk-based assessments for implementation of security technologies, balancing security needs with end-user experience to protect Cigna’s security & productivity.
• Deliver the best value quickly and at the best cost in an agile development environment, and collaborate with other teams to deliver complete value.
• Participate in the development of technology & migration plans for evolution of security capabilities.
• Communicate & collaborate with teams across the organization to drive security imperatives, including infrastructure & application development teams and Information Risk Management.

Qualifications / Experience Requirement:

• Experience in creating success in an agile development environment for application & deployment of technology.
• Possess knowledge & experience in a wide variety of security capabilities (endpoint, perimeter, data protection, cloud, vulnerability scanning/prevention, SIEM/SOAR, mail security, and forensics).
• Ability to operate collaboratively, and use influence among multiple technology engineering teams to achieve a common secure architectural goal for the organization.
• Ability to use critical thinking skills and versatility – ability to switch between a wide variety of security technologies – a critical need as a part of building & developing security engineering teams.
• Possess knowledge and application of security standards, compliance & controls frameworks (NIST, SOC1, SOC2, ISO27000, etc.).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Security; or equivalent experience.
• CISSP preferred.

This role is WAH/Flex which allows most work to be performed at home. Employees must be fully vaccinated if they choose to come onsite. 

This position is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
