Hours: 3:30 AM - Finish

Pay: $18/hr to start and 19/Hr after 45 days

Everyone is important here at Gordon Food Service - especially our delivery driver teams! We depend upon our Van Drivers  to meet the needs of our customers (restaurants, hospitals & education centers) as valued representatives of the Gordon Food Service image by providing exceptional, accurate deliveries.

Essential Functions:

• Ensures safe, accurate, timely, and efficient deliveries of GFS products.

• Builds and maintains good customer relationships.   

• Accurately collects customer payments. Safeguards company funds and follows GFS banking policies.

• Collaborates with management and sales representatives to communicate customer concerns.

• Completes daily check-ins in a timely manner with no errors.

• Performs daily pre/post trip inspection of vehicles and equipment. 

• Manages paperwork to include register, credits, pick-ups, etc

• Performs proper equipment maintenance, monitors reefer temperature, and reports mechanical issues and damages in timely manner.

• Develops and maintains a good working relationship with other GFS employees.

• Adheres to the mission and cornerstone values and applicable practices of the organization.

• Maintains peer relationships in the field to share issues and ideas. Attends department meetings.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

We'll teach you a lot, but we do have a few minimum requirements:

• You must be 21 years of age or older 

• Operators License and ability to operate a delivery van

• One year previous driving experience and one year experience in customer service or related field

• Must be able to operate a two-wheeler with a load weighing up to 350 pounds

• Clean driving record - No drug or alcohol offenses in the last 5 years

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred

• Must pass a drug screen, MVR, and background check
