ABOUT THE ROLE
- As SEM Manager, you will be highly analytical and have an expert knowledge of the key tools and techniques required to develop a deep understanding of our brands status within search and marketing performance.
- You will be responsible for the day to day management of a large marketing budget (well in excess of £1million) and ensuring that the budget is used as efficiently as possible to deliver the correct volume of traffic at the desired cost per acquisition.
- You will create detailed short and mid-range strategies that will promote the steady and continual growth of our key brands within key marketing channels including, PPC, organic search and affiliates.
- You will work closely with the Digital Marketing Manager and ensure the search status of the brands is clearly communicated, highlighting any opportunities or challenges that may arise.
- You will assist the CRM & Content Manager in the planning and execution of the content marketing strategies, suggesting keyword themes and backlink opportunities that are likely to return the best ROI.
- You will support the development teams to ensure that all changes to the website follow SEO best practices and the site structure is not compromised.
- You will be directly managing an SEO executive and be able to give them clear direction on the day to day search activities as well as inspiring and motivating them to go the extra smile through your leadership skills.
- You will be expected to keep abreast of the latest changes in the market and industry, ensuring our brands are in a position to capitalise on any opportunities through direct implementation or collaboration with other areas of the business.
ABOUT YOU
- Excellent knowledge of paid search tools – Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, Search Ads 360, Google Analytics etc.
- Excellent understanding of paid search – Match Types, Remarketing / GDN, Geo Targeting, Segments, etc.
- Experience of managing a large budget £1,000,000 +
- Excellent understanding of key marketing channels, including: SEO, PPC, Display, Remarketing, Affiliates
- Excellent understanding of SEO principles e.g. Keyword Analysis, Backlink analysis, competitor analysis, Site audits, etc.
- Excellent knowledge of SEO Tools e.g. Screaming Frog, SEM Rush, SEO Monitor, etc
- Proven track record of working with highly competitive terms in extremely competitive industry
- Familiar with Wordpress and how to enable SEO best practice on the platform
- Experience of managing PR / SEO agencies
