Brunswick’s Integrated Manufacturing Center (BIMC), located in Merritt Island, Florida, supports the growth and development of Sea Ray, Boston Whaler and other Brunswick boat brands.  This location, formally a Sea Ray Sport Yacht and Yacht facility, centralizes Brunswick’s vertical integration capabilities to deliver efficient, cost effective capacity and productivity planning to the Brunswick boat brands.

SUMMARY

The Crew Leader for Final Finish/Shipping will be responsible for running daily shipping of products. This position will be executing activities to ensure product is shipped in a timely and accurate manner. This includes utilizing equipment to prepare shipments following Brunswick Safety procedures and adhering to all transportation regulations. Crew Leader tasks include participating in day to day job duties, and assisting the Group Lead and Supervisor in a wide range of departmental reporting.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Drive a culture of excellent safety procedures and set an example for the team as a leader.   
  • Leads in working some gigs from water tests and works off pre-inspection gigs.
  • Leads in performing minor installation in boats.
  • Coordinate and execute logistics plans based on scheduled provided by upper management.
  • Prepare and load outgoing shipments onto trailer or containers following Brunswick safety policy and transportation regulations.
  • Complete different types of shipping paperwork and electronic transactions as required.
  • Maintain shipping documentation organized.
  • Communicate with carriers on transportation issues.
  • Communicate with carriers to schedule pick up times for product delivery.
  • Cut and assemble wooden elements used in loading product.
  • Report supply needs, equipment breakdowns, shortages, and other shipping concerns to upper management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.                      

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing and/or industrial environment.
  • 1 year of loading or logistics experience required.
  • 1-3 years of experience operating powered industrial equipment such as forklift, hoists, and pallet jacks.
  • Ability to utilize saws and hand tools to build shipping containers as needed.
  • Must be a self-starter and be detail oriented.
  • Able to work independently with minimal oversight required.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks at one time.
  • Must be flexible to work extended hours to support business requirements.
  • Able to communicate effectively and in a professional manner with all functional areas in the facility.
  • Must be a self-starter and be detail oriented.

  • Excellent employee relations skills for all interactions.
