Gordon Food Service is looking for an SAP Solution Architectto help lead a greenfield S4 HANA Implementation.  This role will support our 5 year transformational journey to re-imagine critical business processes, leveraging a best in class technology platform.

The essential functions of the role include: 

• Embraces a deep understanding of business goals and objectives, and uses this understanding to provide leadership and direction in development of technical solutions to meet those needs
• Translates business and technical requirements into a solution architectural blueprint
• Identifies organizational and financial impact of solutions architecture
• Understands emerging technology trends and disruptions, and can use these to meet evolving business and operating models
• Ensures a robust architectural runway that can support future business requirements
• Defines principles, guidelines, standards and solution patterns to ensure solution decisions are aligned with future-state architecture vision
• Creates solution architectural designs to guide solution development across products, services and systems
• Collaborates with others to define the overall SAP vision and strategic roadmaps necessary to deliver solutions
• Engages with other teams to ensure adherence to our vision and standards in transitioning from current to future state
• Partners with others in defining complex, cross-domain solutions
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Leading candidates will have…

• Experience with large scale SAP implementation and transformation project(s), preferably with SAP S/4HANA.
• A strong knowledge of SAP and of emerging trends.  Examples include functional and technical architecture, security, cloud services, enterprise integration, data management, and software development practices.
• Strong communication skills that will enable you to collaborate across the organization.
• Proven success contributing across multiple domains is highly desirable.
• Previous experience in wholesale distribution and/or manufacturing is preferred but not required.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or Information Systems.
