Job Description

  •  ATP testing
  • Check and record Chemical and Sanitizer concentration
  • Assign task to complete MSS
  • Assure proper LOTO of equipment is complete
  • LOTO of equipment to be cleaned
  • Equipment to be cleaned is disassembled
  • Equipment is correctly reassembled
  • Inventory cleaning supplies (First Week of Each Period)
  • Report food safety issues observed in the site
  • Will report needed Building Maintenance to help with pest control
  • Filling in for Associates on vacation or who call in sick.
  • SSOP writing and development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conversion - Lead and participate with the efforts of the sanitation team that supports efficient conversion of materials into quality products in a safe, secure and sanitary manner within the product design specifications.
  • Will perform monthly and yearly sanitation when not leading the team during sanitation downtime cleaning.
  • Change Agent - Recommend and implement changes in methods, equipment, systems and organization, as needed, to assure that the objectives of the sanitation area are met.
  • Motivational Leader – Strong leadership capabilities to assist the Sanitation Manager in training, retraining, development and motivation of Sanitation associates following self-managed, team working principles with a minimum degree of guidance from the Sanitation Manager and site staff.
  • Goal Setting and Measurement - With the general guidance of the Sanitation Manager, establish area performance standards and goals, and measure, control, take corrective action and report results as appropriate.
  • Troubleshooting - At this stage of technical development, and under the general guidance of the Sanitation Manager and the site staff, the Sanitation Lead utilizes the technical resources on shift for the preventive maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of equipment problems, with the objective of effectively using these resources to achieve desired performance levels.
  • Communications - Ensure that open communications are established and that opportunities to broaden the scope and responsibility of the Sanitation associates are undertaken.
  • Technology Advancement - Advise the Sanitation Managers when opportunities exist for moving the area forward in technological or procedural change.
  • Operations Strategy - Participate with the Sanitation Manager in the implementation of improvement strategies that will help the area perform more effectively in the near term.
  • Maintain and execute against the Master Sanitation Schedule as well as the Pest Control Management Program.
  • Operating Environment and Guidance - Work in conjunction with the Sanitation Manager & Quality Manager to provide guidance, training and mentoring throughout development of the sanitation contracted services.
  • They will responsible for helping deployed MSE for sanitation.
  • Helping launch the sanitation safety pillar.
  • Overseeing rapid sanitation.
  • Every associate at Mars Petcare has the responsibility for the achievement of quality and food safety.
  • Reports to Sanitation Manager and in their absence will report to the Quality Manager.
