PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Manages and executes Site Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS), including components of shutdown/start-up cleaning schedules and cleaning verifications through microbiological sampling of cleaned surfaces and equipment.
• Develops and updates sanitation procedures to reflect accurate cleaning processes and tasks.
• Trains and develops Sanitation Contractors/Sanitation Associates to assure team capabilities and consistent cleaning execution.
• Participates in Food Safety/HACCP Team and monthly Food Safety inspections, and conducts follow up actions to address findings.
• Participates in Integrated Pest Management activities, collaborating with pest services technicians to help identify risk areas to improve cleaning and control for pest mitigation.
• Responsible for assisting in all areas in maintaining high levels of daily cleanliness and adherence to site GMP’s.
• Prioritizes work daily by identifying pressing issues, through communication with each production technician, knowing shift production plans and awareness of area.
• Promotes high quality team environment through effective teamwork and self-management with a positive attitude.
• Performs all assigned activities and job tasks within area.
• Performs and manages detailed cleaning of large areas and workspaces.
• Performs and manages detailed cleaning of large pieces of manufacturing equipment.
• Performs and oversees sanitation activities as required by the Master Sanitation Schedule, with particular attention to associate safety and compliance with lock out/tag out procedures. Assures completion of all required documentation.
• Assists the plan in meeting or exceeding production goals.
• Educates others on sanitation principles.
• Receives micro training and understands the hazards of cross contamination.
• Participate in micro investigations.

KEY EXPERIENCES
• 1 years of work experience within manufacturing, or a technical and/or trade discipline

• Ability to read/comprehend written and oral instruction in the English language
PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS
• 2+ years of manufacturing experience with Excellent working knowledge of all production equipment, site layout, sanitation tool use and preventive maintenance.
• Understands microbiological and pest control as it pertains to a food manufacturing environment.
• Has detailed knowledge of the process flow of the plant. Understands traffic, air flow and color code system.
• Ability to operate a forklift/scissor lift/high lift with OSHA certification
