Conagra Brands located in Macomb, Michigan, (23 mile and Hayes) is hiring for full-time Sanitation positions. Conagra Macomb produces Duke’s Shorty sausages. Not familiar with Duke’s? Duke’s is a delicious snack- sized sausage made with real, whole ingredients and not a lot of sugar.

Starting pay is $15.50/hr. plus $.50 shift differential with a $1250 retention bonus. Full benefits after 60 days: medical, dental, vision, free short term disability, 401k (dollar for dollar match up to 6%), free life insurance, paid holidays/vacations.

Position Responsibilities: Clean and sanitize production lines along with other cleaning and janitorial duties; uses hazardous chemicals

Essential Job Functions:

• Ability to work the scheduled/assigned times

• Must be able to work individually as well as with others as a team
• Ability to move up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work on and climb ladders
• Dynamic standing
• Constant use of high pressure hot water hose
• Ability to work in high temperature and wet environment

Job Duties:

• Team assists with production activities as needed in addition to cleaning
• Clean, sanitize and inspect production equipment and areas in a timely manner
• Obtain all necessary tools to clean in place (e.g., chemicals, utensils, etc.)
• Assemble/disassemble equipment as required
• Rinse and clean all conveyors, rollers, hoppers, etc with high pressure hoses
• Clean and rinse drains in assigned areas
• Clean, rinse, and sanitize all tools and utensils
• Remove all excess water, grease, and other materials as required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

Knowledge of GMP’s and plant safety

Ability to be LOTO certified

Understanding of damage/loss

Knowledge of 5s principles

Knowledge of chemical awareness MSDS

Hours: Monday- Friday some Saturday, 5 pm to 2 am
