Job Description

The Amazon Shipping Business Operations team is seeking an experienced Sales Strategy professional to partner with the Commercial Leadership team to define, land and execute against the organization’s strategic priorities. This role is responsible for everything from helping the Sales Leaders define local market strategies and programs through to the day to day execution of sales operations. This role serves as a trusted advisor to the Leadership team, supporting their business operations both tactically and strategically.


The Sales Strategy & Planning Manager has three key priorities:

· Act as a thought leader to identify and solve root causes for process improvement and to define new frameworks as the business scales;
· Lead annual and long-range planning activities;
· Own the quantitative analysis of the performance of the Commercial team and generate insights that provide recommendations to steer the business.
The ideal candidate will be an expert in key sales support activities, including sales forecasting, revenue routing, territory design, quota setting, opportunity pipeline management, annual territory planning, goals setting and organizational planning. This role requires an individual with strong stakeholder management skills to enable cross-functional collaboration. The successful candidate will also have proven people management skills, excellent analytical abilities, and strong business acumen. They will also be comfortable with ambiguity, have strong attention to detail, and be motivated by a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment. This is a hands-on role working across a variety of internal stakeholders.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Extensive experience in Sales/Business Operations, Sales/Commercial Excellence, Sales Readiness or similar function for a fast-paced sales organization
· Working knowledge and experience in using Salesforce.com and superior Excel skills
· Strong business-process design experience
· Strong analytical skillset
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Experience creating meaningful reporting and analyses for business stakeholders and familiarity with business intelligence tools and databases
· Experience with large scale, cross-functional end-to-end project management
· Bachelor's Degree

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Salesforce Administrator certification
· MBA or Master’s Degree in economics, business, finance
