Overview
The Sales Market Manager role manages, develops, and implements sales promotion policies, programs, and initiatives at the customer level to maximize the revenue Meritor. The role will research, evaluate and makes customer recommendation related to enhancing major customer’s market positions. This role is focused on increasing revenue of the $500M Major OEM and IAM customer base.
Job Responsibilities
• Position will be responsible for the sales element of the S&OP process (the sales lead). Works to collect and analyze order adds, forecast, and interpret market trends.
• As a Sales Market Manager within the sales team, the role will work closely with the aftermarket sales leadership team. product leadership, corporate marketing, and communications to drive the go-to-market strategies to develop and execute promotional activities.
• Tracks and manages greater than $20.0M+ marketing funds/coop/rebate funds and customer engagement funds
• The role consolidates and coordinates the sales efforts of national accounts and sales teams across multiple channels. Ensures recurring themes and programs are launched across all channels
• Develops, manages, and launches promotions and contests aimed at driving achievement of Meritor and customer sales acceleration.
• Measures, monitors, and creates KPIs and dashboards for tracking promotional activities and sales penetration at major customers. Working with the business intelligence team to manage by facts.
• Manages and co-owns the major customer’s promotional calendar and go-to market activities with the Account managers
• Determines length and timeline of promotions that will help to generate field communications and sales activities
• Works closely with Account managers on developing incremental programs with customer support teams and customers
• Manages customer and Meritor integration of emerging technologies that enhance and improve existing customer loyalty and conversion
• Provides financial planning and proactive management of promotion for executive level reviews
• Leads and manages customer sponsored in-field support by recruiting, training, and coaching of contractor staffing positions up to 4 external contractors.
• Partner, Meritor, and customers creative teams to determine the most effective strategies and tactics based on channel and customer segments to drive results
• Identify, drive and pitch promotional ideas and opportunities that will deliver short and long-term results to major customers.
• Infuse analytics into merchandising strategy to drive both strategic and day to day decisions, utilizing a combination of internal system metrics, market research and trends, and competitive analysis
JOB REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS
• 7 -10 years’ experience managing brand and brand relationships
• Experience marketing & working with ecommerce platforms and systems
• Must have knowledge of a wide range of multi-category information and understanding
• Understanding of production, media, and external agencies
• Experience working with network & media teams
• Must be creative, innovative, and detail-oriented, with a strong work ethic, a team-focused mentality. A willingness to learn and a burning desire to drive success. Out of the box thinkers needed!
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to anticipate needs, take initiative, meet deadlines, multitask, and be resourceful/flexible, all while maintaining absolute professionalism and confidentiality. Ability to handle multiple projects, delegate and meet rigorous deadlines.
• Must possess exceptional diplomacy, influencing, presentation and verbal/written communications skills,
• Experience in creating promotional/execution processes, and organizational structure.
• A self-motivated team player with a proven ability to work within a fast-paced, matrixed corporate organization that operates across multiple time zones.
• Superior knowledge of practices and principles related to implementation and execution of Promotional programs.
• Solutions oriented, problem solving mentality a must.
• Program Management experience required.
