Job Description

This is a remote field position based in a home office. Location can be in Michigan, Ohio or Pennsylvania with access to a metropolitan airport for regional travel.

As Sales Manager for the Central Region, you will develop and lead the region's retail sales strategy. Design and implement sales programs to sell our products using analytics and market analysis to achieve assigned targets. Lead a team of broker sales representatives, and manage relationships with up to 15 of our retailer accounts in multiple market areas. You will create sales goals, manage market analysis, coordinate retail execution, help create and develop merchandising solutions, and manage administrative tasks. You will report to a Sales Director.

You Will:

  • Create and execute the business plan through the annual business cycle, maximizing business plan sales and profit within brand strategies and guidelines.
  • Analyze consumption data, shipment data, and internal financial metrics to form strategies consistent with assigned goals.
  • Conduct market analysis to determine customer needs, measure opportunity, and propose financials for sales accounts.
  • Manage development activities and coordinate volume and profit goals.
  • Prepare periodic sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
  • Conduct sales presentations to important clients in partnership with sales representatives for the accounts and ensure sales service.
  • Communicate and track key performance indicators to your team.
  • Regional travel up to three days per week, including single day and overnight trips

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of five years progressive sales experience, including account management
  • Sales management experience managing multiple product categories and customers. Demonstrate in-depth knowledge in sales, trade and marketing concepts and methods
  • Experience managing customer relations and promotions
  • Experience interpreting and using multiple information sources to develop strategy and tactics
  • Experience leading and coaching others
  • Experience in trade spending management; fiscal responsibility
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
