Role background

So… we have built this rocketship. We call it Wolt. And we’re on a mission to make cities a better place to live with the help of technology. We started in 2014 in Finland, with the customer-obsessed mindset we have now reached 23 countries with over 12M users. We are best known for our food delivery platform but are now on a journey to become an ‘’everything’’ app so you can get almost anything delivered to your doorstep in less than an hour.

We launched in Norway in 2017 and are already operating in Oslo, Trondheim, Tromsø, Stavanger, Bergen, Sandnes, and Lillestrøm with more cities to come soon. As we expand rapidly, we're now looking to take full ownership of our restaurant acquisitions in Norway and lead a team of talented field salespeople called Restaurant Partnership Managers.

At Wolt, everything starts with restaurants. If there are no restaurants, there are no customers, and hence no work for the couriers. As the Restaurant Sales Lead, you are in charge of our restaurant partner acquisitions together with a team of Restaurant Partnership Managers.
You’ll be shaping the expansion strategy by using data to prioritize the right focus areas in different existing and new cities. Moreover, you will be going into the field and setting examples for your team to follow, and use your extensive sales experience to provide direction, tools, sparring, and coaching. You will play a key role in Wolt’s future success and in helping our team of very talented and ambitious salespeople reach new heights.

What you’ll be doing

  • Taking full ownership of our field sales Restaurant Acquisitions in Norway and being responsible for the consistent and significant venue growth. 

  • Leading by example by systematically managing your own pipeline of potential partners.

  • Ensuring the success and well-being of your team by setting targets, motivating, sparring, coaching, doing performance chats, and whatever else it takes.

  • Using your commercial thinking to analyze existing and new potential markets to identify opportunities, improvement areas, and form strategy and direction for the team.

  • Managing and executing different projects and initiatives to help the team meet the goals.

  • Evangelizing best practices and actively consulting your team.

  • Recruiting new talented Restaurant Partnership Managers into your team.

  • Facilitating a strong communications loop alongside the Onboarding, Development, and other teams in the org.

Our humble expectations

  • Demonstrable experience of being successful within a similar natured B2B new sales position, and are great at passing skills and toolbox to others.

  • Strong ‘’can do’’ attitude and willingness to roll up the sleeves and contribute with closing deals.

  • Track record in inspiring, motivating and developing salespeople so they can thrive and reach their KPI’s, preferably within field sales. Moreover, skilled in having challenging conversations and getting salespeople back on track.

  • Very strong entrepreneurial and analytical mindset with the ability to use data to work smart, support your intuition, and form a direction. Experience with Excel and BI tools and being familiar with modern sales tools and systems is preferred.

  • Excellent communication skills with a great ability to build relationships and influence people.

  • Structured with a track record of making things happen by managing projects and executing new initiatives. 

  • Previous experience in a target-driven environment with great results, preferably in a fast and dynamic environment.

  • Good knowledge or passion for the local restaurant scene is a plus.

  • Fluent in English and good Norwegian skills.
