Job Description

As a Sales Analyst on the Business Planning team, you will integrate across Sales, Sales Strategy and Capabilities, and Brand in providing support with annual plan management for your assigned brands. Coordinate with a Business Planning Manager to develop plans consistent with long-range business and financial goals. Gather data through multiple sources to create reports to support internal business reviews, customer business reviews, and pricing, while driving insights and action. Connect customer strategies and brand strategies to achieve accelerated growth plans. You will report to the Director of Business Planning.

You Will:

  • Model and measure financial impact of potential strategies for the team's customer plans
  • Work with customer teams to build customer specific plans with guidance provided by Business Development and Brand, while acknowledging customer specific needs (i.e. customer specific trade/shopper events; reset windows)
  • Support the sales team to ensure all plans are accurate in our Trade Promotion Management system
  • Provide Volume/Mix analysis versus forecast and Sales Plans; use business context to share variances
  • Maintain division reporting tools. May assist corporate team/departments with higher level data gathering

You Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, finance, or related field
  • 1+ year CPG sales or related sales/financial analytical experience
  • Experience with trade spending principles
  • P&L management exposure
  • Understanding of the customer, with the ability to identify potential business risks and opportunities.
  • Experience managing large datasets in Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets including pivot tables, v lookup)
  • Experience making recommendations for solutions based on information gathered and analyzed from the systems previously mentioned
