Job Description

Role Summary:

Provides administrative support to market leadership and sales partners, supporting large departments with the majority of duties being high level administrative tasks which may include: planning/coordination of large events, meetings or conferences, complex project work, reporting requests to include analytics and presentation, ordering materials and collaterals, and various sales support functions to include submission of required documents to implementation and other downstream partners for new and renewal business and service intervention on escalated or urgent problem issues. This role may engage with internal and external business partners.

Requires 3 - 5 years administrative support experience.  Work requires initiative and judgment in making decisions and knowledge of department and company policies and procedures. 

Responsibilities:

  • Production of ongoing monthly reports for clients
  • Coordinate Sales projects as assigned by Manager and/or Sales partners
  • Support paperwork associated with internal processes
  • Follow prescribed guidelines for filing company documents and handling proprietary information
  • Distribute correspondence, customer reporting data and other communication tools to customers and producers
  • Respond to requests for copies and faxes of business-related materials in a timely manner
  • Schedule meetings and complete business travel arrangement
  • Office management duties to include: incoming and outgoing mail, answering main office phones, conference room reservations, office security and facilities-related items
  • Support the administrative and optional services process by submitting bills for payment or reimbursement

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience as an Administrative Assistant (3 years preferred)
  • Knowledge of Business Continuity Planning a plus
  • Basic knowledge in healthcare / managed care business a plus
  • Demonstrated planning / organizational skills; ability to plan for both the long and short term; drive priorities and results
  • Demonstrated ability to foster strong working relationships
  • Strong project management skills
  • Advanced Computer Skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, and Customer Relationship Management application)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

This role is located onsite which expects most work to be performed at a Cigna office location, but may allow for some work to be performed at home. Employees must be fully vaccinated if they choose to come onsite. Currently, due to the pandemic, we are encouraging all employee to remain working from home and all onsite meetings require a virtual option. However, we expect that this role will likely return to being performed primarily at an office location.
