Together, we enable our customers to do all the things they love with their devices.The tasks for this role will cover power flow setups, power rollup, analysis, and optimisation mainly at the front-end level. The role will have an emphasis on early RTL power estimation with the objective to work with architects and RTL block designers to influence the design for power reduction. He/She will also be involved in power methodology enhancement, and methods for power reduction. The candidate will communicate the outcome of the power analysis on a regular basis, drive the power optimisation to ensure that the power/performance goals are met, and provide methods, techniques, suggestions and feedbacks to reduce power.

Key Qualifications

  • Excellent understanding of power consumption, estimation, and low power design techniques.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages, such as Perl, Tcl, Python, or Make.
  • Experienced with power estimation tools and characterisation, such as Primetime-PX, Power Artist, Power Pro, Spyglass.
  • Experience optimising low power solutions in the mobile space.
  • Understanding of power considerations at the RTL level.
  • Experience in power estimation and optimisation methodologies.

Description

Define and drive the implementation of state-of-the-art low power design methodologies. Collaborate with the design implementation team to address power efficiency and meet expected power landing zones for the GPU. Collaborate with the power team to define, experiment, and perform studies to efficiently analyse and reduce power at the front-end. Develop novel power optimisation and algorithms at the front-end level. Pre-RTL power measurement. Share low-power best practices and design principles among the different project stake holders.

BSc/MSc/BEng/MEng/PhD in a related field
