Robotic Process Automation Lead - Wholesale IT

Our technology teams in the UK work closely with HSBC’s global businesses to help design and build digital services that allow our millions of customers around the world, to bank quickly, simply and securely. We also run and manage our IT infrastructure, data centres and core banking systems that power the world’s leading international bank.

Our multi-disciplined teams include: DevOps engineers, IT architects, front and back end developers, infrastructure specialists, cyber experts, as well as project and programme managers.

 We work in small, agile DevOps teams with colleagues around the world.

Following extensive investment across our Technology and Digital domains, we are currently seeking an experienced Robotic Process Automation Lead to join HSBC Technology.

Wholesale Technology sits within HSBC Operations, Services and Technology (HOST). Our team provides the technology solutions that enable the business to operate and service customers. From cutting edge rela-tionship management platforms built using Agile/DevOps to industrial strength engines that power global online websites and trade platforms, our highly engaged and talented team can do it all.

 

Wholesale Technology Shared Services - We are a team that delivers systems with a cross Wholesale IT remit – Eg – Systems that support On-boarding and KYC of Wholesale customers, Cloud Infrastructure, Regulatory Portfolio. The team also supports ongoing maintenance of the above mentioned systems which are in Production. We are also a coordination point for Wholesale IT demand into non Wholesale IT owned shared platforms, for example into Core Banking and Wholesale Operations and a target delivery and/or operational department for further technology with cross Wholesale use cases / consumers

 

This role is to lead the team on this exciting journey, bring together various technologies and teams across wholesale into a single operating model. The role holder will be responsible for the relationship with Transformation and Business colleagues ensuring a consistent experience with collaboration and service quality across all of the robotics and process automation technology services on offer.

 

What you will be doing;

 

  • Lead a team to execute the wholesale process automation technology services by liaising consistently with business teams on prioritisation and requirements. Ensure Solution designs are robust and fir for purpose.
  • Ensure internal teams such as Change and Operations, are appropriately led and supported throughout the lifecycle of delivery of automation services.
  • Provide and support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes and new responsibilities
  • Lead expectations by developing and executing a target operating model that flexes to meet the growing demands for the automation services. Communicate regularly on this model using KPIs to measure effectively
  • Work collaboratively and lead your team of architecture, subject matter experts, developers and operations support teams in providing a seamless experience in the delivery of automation solutions.

Requirements

To be successful in this role you should have proven experience within the Technology sector with knowledge of the following skills:

  • Strong background & knowledge process automation tools and processes.
  • Broad knowledge of the end user technology choices to enable automation
  • Previous experience of leading teams through transformation and change including operating model establishment and embedding.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to senior stakeholders.
  • Experience of working with multi-disciplinary IT teams as well as business and change colleagues
  • Experience in delivering complex business and IT system related changes and documenting business / functional requirements.
  • Flexibility in approach, and the ability to show initiative and respond quickly to changing situations.
  • Ability to lead ambiguity and work to bring clarity to requirements by effectively engaging clients or partners.
  • Strong documentation skills for functional specifications and / or presentations to clients
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and deliver results to a high standard, escalating where support is required.

 

 

This role will be based in Canary Wharf, London.
