We Are Hiring

Peyton Manning Children's Hospital 

We are looking for an experienced  Pediatric Oncology Nurse to join the team . This is a Full Time position  ( 3x12 hr/ week -& Every 3rd weekend )  Shift will be determined upon interview 

Our 40 bed unit serves a wide population of diagnosis . We stretch out over 2 floors . This need is located on the 3rd floor where we have our Oncology , HEMONC and Cardiac kiddos . We need you to care for the Oncology and Hemonc kids . 

 

A little more information - 

Census  Depends on the week but we can have just a couple to half of the 3rd floor as oncology (so 2-10)

*  Looking for someone with APHON certification. If you  are certified to but have never hung that is fine we will  orient you to our process. 

 * Our oncologists are employed by the hospital and their clinic is on the 1st floor so they are nearby. We don't do stem cell transplant.  For that we send to Riley but we  do most everything else. 

What You Will Do

Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

Responsibilities:

Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.

Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.

Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.

Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.

Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.
