About the Role
Lockheed Martin UK Rotary Mission System Department (RMS) are expanding our Cyber Electronic Warfare teams and are seeking enthusiastic specialist engineers to support the investigation of RF signals and systems in order to produce analysis enabling the automation of detection and response.
We are a leading prime contractor and systems integrator responsible for a wide portfolio of high technology programmes, complex integration, training and through-life support, spanning the defence and civil sectors. We are a leading provider of systems engineering, software development and complex programme management for global security, cyber, civil and commercial markets.
The successful candidate will be working within a small team on a customer funded research project to:
Detailed analysis of RF systems – from open source investigation through to test and measurement of the equipment under test, including vulnerability analysis.
Reporting and recording investigations against standardised formats to enable further work by wider customer teams.
Design and development of bespoke research tools to enable complex analysis.
Supporting development of mission systems through lab based testing and verification with the potential for field trial support.
Required skills, qualifications and experience
Knowledge of at least one of the following:
RF communications implementation/analysis.
RF algorithm development and Digital Signal Processing.
Embedded systems vulnerability analysis.
Desired skills, qualifications and experience
Knowledge and experience of the following would be beneficial:
Real time test and measurement using vector signal analysers
GnuRadio or OpenCPI, and software defined radio
Python and/or C/C++
Development on Linux and use of Git
Experience of working in the defence sector
