The Disney Decision Science and Integration (DDSI) team is the Walt Disney Company’s center of excellence for developing and deploying innovative analytics that support decision making for client organizations across The Walt Disney Company (TWDC), including Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution (e.g., ABC, ESPN, FX, Studio Entertainment, Disney Theatrical Group) and Parks, Experiences & Products. To drive business value through decision-shaping analytics, DDSI leverages optimization, simulation, statistics and machine learning models to deploy new analytical capabilities.

As a Revenue Management Manager you would be influencing and tracking the performance of resort demand and bookings across our Disney resort properties. This role works alongside the Resort Yielding team to optimize resort utilization through analysis and optimization. In this role you would have a large focus on the tracking and understanding of Rental Demand from our different sales channels (Call Center, Online) and implementing strategies to improve our ability to yield our inventory efficiently. We would expect this role to drive innovation through the design and development of tools that increase and measure the effectiveness of our revenue management strategies. This role would need to leverage data manipulation and visualization techniques as well as have strong communication skills to present complex analytical findings in clear business terms.

Every single day as a Revenue Management Manager is different! On any one day you might:

  • Identify, quantify and develop profit opportunities through data analysis and research
  • Offer objective observations on metrics, strategic initiatives, competitive factors, and performance drivers
  • Partner with Resort Yielding, Commercial Strategy, and Science Integration teams to implement profit opportunities and communicate strategies
  • Develop and maintain forecasting models, using historical data as well as mathematical and statistical techniques to make future recommendations
  • Leverage data visualization techniques and communication skills to present complex analytical findings in clear business terms
  • Consult with internal teams to determine pricing for rooms, tickets, etc.
  • Provide analytical decision-making support to Disney Theme Parks and Resorts leadership
  • Assemble presentations for Executive leaders
  • Showcase strong leadership with your problem-solving skills and ability to influence others with your positive attitude

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years statistical, financial, or strategic development analysis experience
  • Strong experience working with Tableau and data visualization tools
  • Experience working with Data Analysis/Data Science tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL, Snowflake etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage Microsoft Office Suite to analyze and communicate findings
  • Ability to simplify complex analytics into recommendations that are easily understood and executable
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Proven experience with and strong understanding of advanced analytical methods
  • Established ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple priorities, and perform job responsibilities accurately with minimal supervision
  • Tested ability to champion projects from beginning through implementation, meet deadlines, and prioritize work effectively
  • Demonstrated strong leadership and partnering skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving and decision making skills
  • Demonstrated strategic and creative thinking ability

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Walt Disney Parks & Resorts operations, business units, and product offerings
  • Certifications for Tableau, R, Python, Snowflake, or AWS suite

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, or equivalent substitute.

Preferred Education

  • Master’s degree in a quantitative field (Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, or equivalent substitute)
