The Boeing Company is seeking a Retrofit & Repairs Engineering Manager (K level) to support Boeing Global Services in either Philadelphia, PA; Saint Louis, MO; or Mesa, AZ. This role will be responsible for leading a multi-disciplined engineering team in the Engineering Support & Sustainment capability within the BGS Engineering, Modifications & Maintenance organization.

This is a hybrid position that allows some telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Primary skills management responsibilities will include:

• Development of a robust pipeline of post-production retrofit and modification engineers across all experience ranges Supporting critical program staffing and redeployment activities, and identification of strategic skills Development and execution of a robust training and development plan Development of employee engagement activities to motivate and engage the workforce.

• These responsibilities will drive short-term program execution and long-term engineering excellence resulting in Workforce Effectiveness, First Time Quality, Innovation and increased Productivity. The candidate will develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports, while achieving goals for cost, schedule, productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• The candidate will keep management and the team informed by communicating daily status, metrics, progress to plan, and listening to employee concerns and suggestions. The candidate will communicate policies and directives to enhance employee awareness of expectations.
• Current programs for Philadelphia PA and Mesa AZ include (AH-64D/E and AH-6 in Mesa AZ, V-22 and CH47

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor degree or higher
• 5+ years of experience leading or managing an engineering project or team
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% of the time domestically and internationally
• Experience with Retrofit Engineering

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
• Current/Active “Secret” US Security Clearance
• Experience in post-production systems with emphasis in military aircraft sustainment, repairs, and modification programs
• Experience with Manufacturing Engineering, Liaison Engineering, and Product Support disciplines
• Experience with Vertical Lift platforms (V-22, AH-64, AH-6, CH47)
