As an Ad Sales Research Analyst you will use your analytical skills and proficiency with data to help prove to advertisers that the Disney brands and platforms (Hulu, ABC, ESPN, FX, Freeform, National Geographic and more) are the premier places to reach consumers and grow their brands. This Research Analyst will work closely with their manager in supporting the Sales and Strategy teams, as well as senior management, with materials detailing ad-spend and marketplace trends. They will stay informed of innovations and measurement developments across an ever-changing industry and communicate these trends to our stakeholders as needed. As well, they will collaborate across a variety of other departments as they help maintain content performance estimates across the portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Use research tools to provide and contextualize media-wide advertiser spending analyses to key stakeholders.
  • Develop and evolve media research knowledge through data analyses, and by attending industry webinars and conferences.
  • Field ad-hoc questions from Sales, Strategy, and senior management regarding content performances and ad sales inventory (estimates, schedules, etc.) across the portfolio.
  • Maintain ad sales performance estimates within Disney’s ad platform.
  • Collaborate with our DAS research counterparts as we produce research materials that highlight our unique strengths and value to advertisers within the marketplace.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of work experience in related field
  • Familiarity w/ Nielsen Media Research metrics and related research tools (NPower, AdIntel, etc)
  • Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Strong analytical ability, detail oriented, critical thinking, and proactive problem solving
  • The ability to thrive and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Degree in Communications, Media Studies, Statistics, Marketing or other relevant discipline preferred
  • Passion about the entertainment industry
