About the role:
As a Research Analyst within RBS, you will work with product, technology and operations teams to drive complex solutions to address root cause issues of business problems. The solution will include but not limit to machine learning, artificial intelligence and computer vision solutions, thereby contributing to improved customer experience on Amazon. You will also be responsible for identifying and driving new opportunities based on customer and business data, build solution, implement them and measure the performance.

An ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is passionate about discovering and solving complicated problems, learning complex systems, working with numbers, and organizing data to build complex solutions (AI/ML) . You will also be passionate about helping the team make great decisions based on data, possess exceptional skills in project management and data reporting, and be interested in e-commerce industry. You will be detail-oriented and organized, capable of handling multiple projects at once, and capable of dealing with ambiguity and rapidly changing priorities. You will have strong expertise in process optimizations and systems thinking and will be required to engage directly with multiple internal teams to drive business projects for the RBS team. Candidates must be successful both as individual contributors and in a team environment, and must be obsessed with serving the customer. Our environment is fast-paced and requires someone who is flexible, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a deadline-driven work environment

· At least 24 months and above of prior work experience. Relevant analytics and business problem solving skills / professional experience
· Strong analytical skills – has ability to ask right questions, analyze data, draws conclusion by making appropriate assumptions

. Conduct root cause analysis on various internal and external customer data, provide recommendations for solutions and action plans based on deep-dive outcomes to eliminate defects.

Technical -
· Proficiency in Python and R Programming & Selenium
. Proficiency in SQL and Advanced Excel (Array and Statistical formulas).Able to produce data.
. Familiar with systems, scripting – depending on the level of experience.
· Understanding of visualization tools such as Tableau
· Experience of managing Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) jobs
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or related field
· Automate the report generation process though use of tools and programing techniques: such as SQL, SAS, DW concepts & advanced Excel.
. Build and implement solutions using Python / Selenium

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 1+ years of experience in financial/business analysis
• Experience with SQL or ETL
• Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights

Business Acumen 1. Intermediate level understanding of upstream, downstream impact of their teams work. 2. Intermediate skill to determine appropriate data sets and metrics for dive deep. 3. Intermediate skill to determine value add/ non value add 4. Awareness level knowledge of RBS value chain and how it adds value to Amazon customer.

Data Analytics 1. Advanced skill of identifying sources and fetching right data. 2. Intermediate skills in data visualization, creating dashboards and reports. 3. Advanced skill level to clean, organize and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets, to recognize and surface problems. 4. Advanced skill to apply statistical and quantitative techniques (e.g., random sampling, multiple regression, factor analysis, analysis of variances, and discriminate analysis) 5. Intermediate skills to test hypothesis and present recommendations.

Tech Acumen 1.Advanced skill of Python to build automations for reporting and dashboard purposes. 2. Advanced skill to write complex queries to extract data in SQL. 3. Advanced skill to use relevant AWS tools. 4. Awareness of ML (NLP) 5. Intermediate skill to use visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Micro Strategy and Quicksight.

Problem Solving 1. Intermediate skills of creating working backwards plan 2. Advanced skills of RCA, FEMA
