About the role

Viamo requires a report writer to lead the development of 6 monthly project progress reports, a midline report, and a final report. These reports will be delivered to Viamoâs client. The report writer is expected to collect, analyze and convert complex quantitative and qualitative raw data from research, baseline and midline surveys into comprehensive reports on a monthly basis.

Terms of Reference

Conduct a desk review of data and reports provided by Viamo, and develop Produce 6 high-quality monthly reports that meets applicable standards of Viamo and client requirements, keeping intended audience in sightMaintain regular communication and coordination with Viamoâs Programs and D&I teams, verified through participation in coordination meetings Write, format, edit, review, and proofread report for technical and nontechnical usersAssist in planning, scheduling, and tracking documentation work to meet report release dates and client deliverablesViamo anticipates a maximum of 30 consultancy days for the required assignment, assuming 5 days for respectively midline and final report, and 20 days for all monthly reports.

Reports to Program Manager, AfghanistanWorks in close consultation with the programs and D&I teams based in Kabul, Afghanistan and Mumbai, India respectively.

Profile

Required

Masterâs degree from a reputable university5+ years of demonstrated excellence in report writing Ability to understand and convey the nuances of behavior change in a compelling manner for technical and non-technical audiencesDemonstrated understanding and experience of working in key thematic areas of development (Health, Education, Agriculture, Financial Inclusion, Gender Empowerment) Excellent report writing, editing, and proofreading skillsAbility to analyze data using SPSS or StataProficiency in MS office (Excel or Visio) to visualize data and processesAbility to deliver high quality reports with meticulous attention to detailOutstanding general knowledge as well as multi-sectoral knowledgePreference will be given to candidates based in South Asia time zone
