ENGIE are recruiting for a Renewables Design Manager. This is a home based, permanent full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, bonus and benefits package.

The successful candidate will become a key member of the wider Renewables development team, working alongside, and supporting business development managers by providing specialist technical and engineering front-end expertise, commercial modelling analysis and advice.   

What will you deliver?

• Identify and manage the mitigation of technical constraints to the development of renewable energy projects.

• Take a lead role in the management and coordination of technical consultants and EPC and O&M subcontractors.

• Develop and maintain project costing models to be used as early development stage decision-making tools and to inform the commercial optimisation of development projects

• Provide technical support to the commercial modelling team to optimise the design of sites and to ensure the right technologies are deployed in the right way and combination to fit the commercial goals of EQUANS and its Clients

• Advise the development team on the renewable energy technologies that the business may deploy on its projects, including onshore wind, solar (ground mount, rooftop, carports and floating).

 Who are we looking for?

• Expert knowledge of key software packages including PVSyst, Helioscope, Windfarmer and MS Office/ Excel

• A strong commercial background in renewables

• Experience of solar renewable energy project design is essential, especially in the context of behind-the-meter (private wire) solutions

• Ability to operate financial models for the purpose of commercially optimising development projects
