Job Description
Aggregates team Program Increment (PI) objectives into Program PI objectives. Participates in PI Planning readiness; preparation of Vision and backlogs via Pre and Post-planning. Establishes PI Planning readiness (when no value stream level exists) and facilitates PI Planning. Manages and optimizes the flow of value through the program using various tools. Assists with execution and Feature completion. Drives continuous improvement via Inspect and Adapt. Assists with economic decision making. Escalates and track impediments. Helps manage risks and dependencies. Attends System Demos and Solution Demos. Coaches leaders, teams and Scrum Masters on lean-agile practices and methods. Facilitates the Agile Release Train Sync meeting. Assists Product Management with economic decision making, and by facilitating capability and Feature estimation by teams and then aggregate up to the Epic level. Encourages collaboration between System and Solution Architects, User Experience, and teams. Helps ensure strategy and execution alignment by working with Experience Group Owners, Agile Product Owners, Product Managers, Experience Owners, and Stakeholders. Reports status and support activities related to Program Portfolio Management and Release Management. Addresses critical bottlenecks by providing input on resourcing. Encourages and facilitates team level and program level continuous integration and communities of practice for Quality, Engineering, SAFe, Agile, and Lean. The incumbent provides counsel and advice to top management on significant matters, often requiring coordination between organizations. Focuses on providing thought leadership and technical expertise across multiple disciplines. Recognized internally as “the go-to person†for the most complex assignments.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate and facilitate communication and meetings with TPO’s, BPO’s, Domain Owners, Engineers, Scrum Masters and other leaders to assure full alignment. Define schedules, identify dependences, solutions to business problems, and provide updates as priorities and schedules change.
- Develop detailed work plans, schedules and status reports leveraging JIRA wherever possible. Conduct necessary meetings; responsible for schedule and status tracking. Conduct presentations regarding initiative or domain product status to cross functional IT teams and business/domain stakeholders.
- Influence the definition, implementation, and execution of the Agile delivery for Information Life Cycle Management
- Set the direction and tone of the team as an Agile leader, leading change management to mobilize a product mindset
- Effectively leverage subject matter experts, senior leadership, key stakeholders, and other resources as necessary to accomplish objectives; influence leaders and executives
- Drives cross-functional corporate initiatives of medium size and complexity that will deliver successful measurable business outcomes. Responsible for all aspects of end to end delivery including customer requirements, development and implementation of assigned initiatives.
- Portfolio / Project Planning - Accountable for planning, prioritizing and executing a portfolio/project. Establishes appropriate governance for the portfolio/project, including communication for project duration. Develops reporting strategy for portfolio / project
- Relationship building - organizes and leads a matrixed project team. Maintains clear communication regarding expectations, progress and dependencies. monitors customer satisfaction. Builds relationships beyond the portfolio/project environment. Organizes and leads a matrixed portfolio/project team. Provides feedback and focus to all team members
- Monitors, tracks, and analyzes strategic initiatives at a holistic view and communicates progress. Supports the portfolio across multiple initiatives; analyzing reports, collaborating with cross-functional teams, monitoring process, facilitating initiative / Program Epic level meetings. Candidate should have extensive Agile experience.
- Understand and apply best practices and other optimization approaches to evolve the operating model
Preferred Skills and Experience
- 7 - 10 years’ experience as a delivery leader; strong Technology engineering & leadership background. Strong business acumen in health care space is a plus
- 4 - 6 years’ experience as release train engineer, or a Scrum Master/Release Train Engineer or Agile Project/Program Manager, or Agile solution/product manager
- Reporting tool expertise (Jira, Jira Align, Tableau, etc.)
- Proven track record of delivering on large scale or multiple initiatives ($2-$10MM+ in size). Experience with all aspects of the delivery, including planning, capacity reviews, budget, features/user stories, design and delivery execution
- Proven ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders to identify needs and evaluate alternative solutions and strategies
- Servant leader and strong communicator with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization, including VP levels
- Ability to take complicated subjects and distill them down to salient points to drive decision making
- Strong technical aptitude and experience leading teams in delivering quality software experience working in an Agile organization using Scrum, XP, Kanban, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), or other scaling model

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of $113,000 - $188,400, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
