We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our team as an Relationship Manager, working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets.

Role Purpose

We are seeking an experienced relationship manager to help us develop and grow our Private Banking business across Yorkshire and the North East of England.

The role holder will be principally based in the Leeds office but is expected to work flexibly and remotely across the North East of England. They will report to the Regional Head, North and Midlands. The target market for the role holder will be UK Resident and UK Domiciled clients with investable assets of between $5m and $30m.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide support to existing relationship managers whose principal purpose if to undertake a ‘Hunter’ role by acting as a ‘Farmer’ to their existing clients. Grow revenue, increase Assets Under Management (AUM) of portfolio and increase inflows of net new money (NNM)
  • Provide full-service banking and wealth management services to high net worth individuals through the marketing of HSBC Private Bank services
  • Generate new Assets Under Management (AUM) and increase overall portfolio revenues through growing share of wallet from existing clients
  • Work closely alongside a more senior Relationship Manager who will oversee the overall client relationship. The Relationship Support Manager will be required to undertake client meetings on their own and deliver investment suitability reviews, performance conversations and undertake initial pitch discussions. They will also be responsible for ensuring that the actions identified in the joint meetings held with the senior relationship manager are fully completed in a timely manner and fed back to the clients as necessary

Requirements

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Highly organized with a willingness to work under own supervision and remotely from immediate line manager
  • Provide support to 2 Relationship Managers each with portfolios of circa 50 Relationships
  • Ability to travel to meet clients and internal stakeholders
  • Manage own time to help to meet demanding new client acquisition objectives
  • Represent the Private Bank with internal stakeholders and in the professional community across Yorkshire and the North East of England
  • Investment advisory and relationship management experience gained within a UK Private Banking business
  • Excellent knowledge of investment product solutions and the UK regulatory environment
  • RDR Level 4 qualification is a minimum requirement of the role with the requirements to achieve level 6 within 12 months of joining
