We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our team as Relationship Manager working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets. 

Role Purpose

  • We are seeking an experienced banker to help us develop and grow our Private Banking business in London. 
  • The Relationship Manager will acquire, maintain and grow profitable long-term relationships principally with HNW RND clients although the role may also include an aspect of RD coverage.  The role owner will be an exceptional business originator and client focused individual.

 

The tasks for this role will include some or all of the following:

  • Originate new target market clients through investment AUM, lending and Advisory services from own network
  • Identifying and converting referral opportunities through the Group network
  • Grow revenues across allocated portfolio, successfully manage and serve existing business relationships and originate new revenue streams
  • Grow HSBC’s share of client wallet involving product specialists to ensure product capabilities are in line with client/sector requirements.
  • Establish and maintain networks for co-operation with other HSBC businesses, to support the creation of solutions to customer needs that span geographical/product boundaries and regulatory environments.
  • Combine client relationship management with strong risk assessment and management capabilities ensuring the required credit quality & requisite returns on risk.
  • Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
  • Identify event driven opportunities on an opportunistic basis, bringing in sector/country expertise as appropriate.
  • Understand and ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which the jobholder is involved.
  • The role holder will work alongside Investment Specialists, Strategic Financial Planners and Credit Specialists to deliver outstanding service and product solutions to the clients of HSBC Private Bank. 

 

In this role, you will:

  • Grow revenue, increase AUM of portfolio and increase inflows of net new money (NNM), achieving growth by leveraging brand, internal collaboration channels and RM’s own referral network.


Qualifications

 

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum Level 6 qualification (PCIAM or equivalent).
  • Demonstrable track record of client portfolio management and new client acquisition within our target segment.
  • Have a deep understanding of financial markets and complex wealth management solutions as applicable to the target client segment including lending solutions.
  • Have a proven t rack record of building successful relationships with both an internal and external referral network is preferred.
