Regulatory Technical Lead

Our technology teams in the UK work closely with HSBC’s global businesses to help design and build digital services that allow our millions of customers around the world, to bank quickly, simply and securely. We also run and lead our IT infrastructure, data centres and core banking systems that power the world’s leading international bank.

The GFX Regulatory Trade Reporting Team is responsible for delivering solution for all regulatory reporting requirements for MSS IT. Being part of a truly distributed team with colleagues in Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Krakow & London, the team is responsible for regulatory trade reporting for whole of Europe, Americas and APAC regions.

You will be dealing with GFX Front office and Middle office business (FX Cash, FX Options and Commodities), legal and compliance team covering different regulations and other technology teams across the globe.

This is a leadership role with delivery responsibility. The successful candidate will be encouraged to perform the following duties with a high level of competence;

• Work with trading, product leads and middle office to ensure that technology is supporting the business growth plans with risk management.
• Provide a clear view of the technology strategy for GFX regulatory reporting, not only focusing on business delivery but constant focus on remediating technical debt and iterating to our architecture.
• Responsibility for developing teams in Krakow & Guangzhou, ensuring that they are continuously tackling for improvement, reducing production incidents, growing release cadence, and improving regulatory proven experience.

Responsibilities

• Programme Management for GFX trade reporting, as well as team Management of a team around 10 colleagues globally.
• Plan project activity with clear schedule, reacting to changing demands and requirements from the GFX Regulatory function.
• Manage and own the whole GFX Regulatory team working with Leads in GZ & Krakow. Drive the team growing, architecture of the systems in the team that align with the MSS and FICC Architecture.
• Coordinate with other teams in FICC to compile with all vital requirement for cyber security, Risk & Control as well as audit and IAM

Qualifications

Requirements

• One of domain or experience in trade reporting, or FICC products from a regulator perspective
• Understanding of FX Options products, FX Cash and Commodities Life cycle
• Working in a global team with different cultures (Previous experience of global stakeholder management)

This role will primarily be London based.
